Accessing the Display Settings can be done (2) ways
1. The simplest way can be achieved by pressing the WINDOWS KEY and P. This will bring up the following screen:
From here, you can select the display option that you want.
2. You can also access the display settings via the Settings Menu on the Desktop. You can type Settings into the search tab at the bottom left corner of the computer screen and select the Settings suggestion with the GEAR icon. From here, you will select DISPLAY from the LEFT hand side of the menu and scroll to the bottom where you see MULTIPLE DISPLAYS. Click on the drop down menu and select the setting you would like to use.
You can also RIGHT CLICK on the main Windows Screen and select DISPLAY SETTINGS from the drop down menu seen below.
Use these graphics for navigating menu's and settings.
The different display options
Duplicate - This is typically the default setting. The duplicate setting is a display setting that makes the same image appear on multiple monitors. The image on your computer screen is what is duplicated to the projector or TV screen.
Extend - This function is great when you want to use multiple screens. Extending your display allows you to use multiple monitors on one computer system independently. You can hide certain content from what your students see; i.e. grade books, presentation notes. You can also use this function to show something like a video on the main screen and be preparing your next video or presentation on the main computer screen where students cannot see.
PC Screen ONLY - This selection is not used very often. This display option means you are only seeing the single display; i.e. the computer. No other displays are involved in this feature.
Second Screen ONLY - Similar to PC Screen ONLY, but you see everything on the second display only.
